Rohit Sardana, one of the best Indian journalists, was tested positive for COVID 19 on Thursday and admitted to Metro Hospital; died of a heart attack today.


Veteran journalist Rohit Sardana had worked in popular news channels like Zee News and Aaj Tak. He was known for his sheer hard work and dedication to journalism.


In a tweet by his co-anchor and friend Sudhir, Chaudhary shared this sad news mentioning how shocking it was for him to hear someone close died because of the coronavirus.


Rohit Sardana had made it to the top by starting his journey as a copy editor in the early 2000s to the executive editor and anchor at Zee News.

The time he lost his battle, he was with Aaj tak as the senior anchor.

Rohit Sardana had long been associated with Zee Media. He used to host the popular show – ‘Taal Thok Ke,’ a debate program that discusses contemporary issues in India on Zee News.

Paying tribute on Twitter, senior journalist Rajdeep Sardesai wrote, “Friends, this is very sad news. Unfortunately, famous TV news anchor Rohit Sardana has passed away. He had a heart attack this morning. Deepest condolences to his family.”

It is undoubtedly a huge loss for the journalism industry; the news has left many in shock because of a person’s untimely demise with excellent skills, heart, and caliber.
