The government is taking numerous steps to ensure that all qualified beneficiaries of PM-KISAN receive assistance. Aadhaar, which is a mandatory requirement of the scheme, has all been made available through public interfaces.

The Central Sector Scheme, PM-KISAN, was created by the government to provide financial support of up to Rs 6,000 per year to small and marginalised farmers across the country.

PM Modi distributed approximately Rs 20,000 crore to over 9.5 lakh farmer-beneficiaries under the PM-KISAN scheme. It’s likely, though, that some farmers are yet to receive their instalment benefit or payment. They can use the PM KISAN website and mobile app to seek for their name. Meanwhile, the government has provided a list of phone numbers where people can complain if they have not yet received the instalment.

How to register a complaint

If any eligible farmers who have not received his Rs 2,000 10th instalment under PM KISAN, can file a complaint with the PM Kisan Helpdesk. From Monday to Friday, you can file a complaint. You can also register your grievances by sending an email.

Enter your Aadhaar or account number or mobile number and click on ‘Get details’.

How to check name in the beneficiary list

Step 1: Go to the official PM KISAN portal

Step 2: Under to ‘Farmers Corner’ and click on the ‘Beneficiary List’ button.

Step 3: Enter the Status, District, Sub-district, Block, Village and click on the ‘Get Report’ button.

The PM KISAN beneficiary status will be displayed. The entire transaction history of the PM KISAN beneficiary will be displayed. The last instalment’s details will appear on the screen, including the date it was transferred to the beneficiaries’ account and the bank account to which it was credited. Beneficiaries’ cash benefits will be credited straight to their bank accounts, not by cash.

Note that in the event of an inaccurate declaration, the recipient is liable for the recovery of the transferred financial advantage as well as additional legal penalties.

1) What is the definition of ‘family’ under the Scheme?

A landholder farmer’s family is defined as “a family comprising of husband, wife and

minor children who own cultivable land as per the land records of the concerned

State/UT”. The existing land-ownership system will be used for identification of

beneficiaries for calculation of benefit.

2) How does a landholder farmers’ family know that his/her name is included
in the list of beneficiaries?

The beneficiary lists would be displayed at Panchayats to ensure greater transparency

and information. Further, States/UTs would notify the sanction of benefit to the

beneficiary through system generated SMS. He/she can also ascertain his status

through the Farmers Corner in the PIV-Kisan portal.

3) Will be monetary benefit under the Scheme be directly credited into
beneficiary accounts?

Yes. The financial benefit under the scheme shall be directly credited into bank

accounts of beneficiaries.
