How to make nomination online in your EPF account
In India, the employee provident fund is a mandatory deduction for salaried employees who work for companies that are registered with the Employees’ Provident Fund. Every member should name a candidate or nominee to receive the fund’s assets if he or she passes away prematurely. Thus, it is vital to keep your nomination details up to date in order to avoid any legal issues for your loved ones in the future.

How to change nomination in EPF online
Step 1: Login to EPFO epfindia.gov.in
Step 2: Under the ‘Service’ tab, click on the ‘For Employees’ tab from the drop-down menu.
Step 3: Log in with your UAN and password with captcha code
Step 4: Under the ‘Manage’ tab, select ‘E-Nomination.’
Note: Your profile picture should be updated, else you will not be able to set the new nominee or change the nominee. So make sure you update the required profile picture to proceed.
Step 5: Update the address page, if you have not
Step 6: To change your family declaration, select ‘Yes.’
Step 7: Enter all the details of the Nominee
Step 8: You can also add another nominee details (optional) and click on the tab ‘Save Family Details.’
Step 9: To disclose the total amount of shares, go to ‘Nomination Details.’
Step 10: Click ‘Save EPF Nomination.’
The message of Successful EPF nomination saved will be visible, once you click on that you can see the details of your nomination.
Note that at this point, your nomination is at pending status.
Step 11: Click on e-Sign icon and click proceed on the pop-up message
Step 12: Enter or generate Virtual ID and tick mark on the box
Step 13: Now, enter Aadhaar number or virtual ID
Step 14: Enter OTP and submit
An OTP will be issued to the phone number associated with your Aadhaar card. Now, you can see the successful nomination details.
