Government kitty to swell by Rs 1,355 crore on 40% GAIL interim dividend

NEW DELHI: State-run gas utility GAIL on Monday declared 40% interim dividend for 2022-23, or Rs 4 per share, in a move that will swell the Centre’s kitty by Rs 1,355 crore and enrich other stakeholders by Rs 1,275 crore.
Company chairman Sandeep Kumar Gupta said GAIL has been giving shareholders a steady long-term returns on their investments.
The record date for the total dividend of Rs 2,630 crore will be March 21, 2023, according to the approval accorded by the company board.
